The SPCA is concerned primarily with the humane care of companion animals such as dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and other animals that people keep as pets. We love wildlife as well. We are advocates for humane treatment of all animals, wild and domestic.

We are not, however, set up to care for wild animals. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources handles wildlife issues in Anne Arundel County. Please consult their Wildlife Problems page for information about how to handle sick or injured wild animals.
