Volunteer Help Needed

Dog Walkers

Brighten a shelter dog's day by taking him or her for a walk on our 5.5 acre nature trail. Commitment varies.

Cat Socializers

Our kittens and cats love to be taken out of their cages and to be petted, groomed, and loved. Socailaizing with them helps make them more adoptable and better pets. Commitment varies.

Event Staffing

Volunteer to help with our special events. Staff information booths and sell merchandise at community events, help with our Walk for the Animals, and more. This is a great way to help the SPCA and make new friends. Commitment varies.

Foster Program

Our Foster Program, Not 4-Gotten, needs people with loving homes to care for our special needs animals. Underage or sick puppies or kittens, timid animals, and animals recovering from illness or injury need an extra special touch provided by a foster home. We provide medical care, you provide the food and love. Commitment varies from 2 weeks to 2 months. Must have ample time (daily) to care for the animals.

Adoption Follow-up Committment

This group meets from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday evenings to call the owners of newly adopted animals. They check to be sure the pets are adjusting to their new homes and make sure they have visited with a veterinarian. Commitment of two evenings per month.
