You can order the special Maryland license plates that show the world you support humane animal care and spaying and neutering of pets while also supporting the SPCA.

The cost of each plate is $50 with $25 going to the SPCA to support spay/neuter programs.

To apply for a plate:

1. Send a check for $25 made payable to "SPCA of Anne Arundel County" to:

2. We will send you an application form to be sent to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). You must include a $25 check made out to the Department of Motor Vehicles when you mail the application to the Department of Motor Vehicles.

3. You will need to return your current plates to the DMV once you receive your "animal friendly" plates.

Notes: The "animal friendly" plates cannot be personalized. The DMV will not be able to process your application if you have outstanding traffic fines.
