In Anne Arundel County, Maryland all licensing issues and cruelty complaints are handled by Animal Control, a division of the county police department. The phone number for Animal Control is: 410-222-8900.

What do I do with the injured or trapped wild animal or bird I found?

Please call the Davidsonville Wildlife Sanctuary first at (410) 798-0193. If you cannot reach them you may bring the animal to the SPCA. We will transport the animal to a wildlife care facility. The SPCA does not provide long term shelter or adoption of wild animals.

Does the SPCA have a boarding kennel?

The SPCA has closed its boarding kennel in order to acommodate the additional homeless animals in need of our care.

Does the SPCA offer low cost spay and neuter services?

We are currently only able to offer spay and neuter services for animals adopted from our shelter.
