Jessa

This past summer my husband and I added a new addition to our family that we adopted from your facilty.  Now Jessa Lauren gets ready to celebrate Christmas in her forever home.  We came in looking for a dog to keep our other pit bull Kaos company.  In March of this year our dog Boomer sadly passed away after battling a lengthy illness and Kaos missed his best friend and brother.  Kaos had made himself sick with worry and depression after Boomer’s passing and the vet suggested maybe it was time to bring another dog into our home to help Kaos.  Almost immediately after bringing Jessa home Kaos’ physical ailments cleared up after months of the doctors not being able to find anything medically wrong with him.

Jessa is a joy.   I was apprehensive in getting a puppy aged dog, remembering my time with potty training, kennel training and obedience training with my other ones.  I wasn’t sure I was up to the challenge.  My husband fell in love with Jessa the minute he laid eyes on her and was determined she was going to be ours.  I was so surprised how easily she transitioned to our home, she is so good on our daily walks on the leash and she had no problem with getting accustomed to her new kennel and surroundings.  She even mastered her basic obedience classes.  I contribute this with the love and care she received at the ASPCA.

So it may be a little past due but thank you for allowing us to adopt Jessa Lauren.

Peggotty

Hi ,
Just a brief note here to let you know "Sparkles", now renamed "Peggotty" (after a 'Dickens' character; although we call her various names..)  is settling in beautifully. She really is wonderful, and is so affectionate. All is going really well. I'll give you another update later.

Bellarina (Bella)

Adopted 12/2/10.
Made herself right at home! She looks like a mini Timmie-(Bella is on the right!)

Reaction from Resident Timmie- "What- is this for exercise?" Reaction from Bella re: Timmie- "Well, you might be big but you are all talk and no show!"

Recon

I just wanted to share a success story!

We adopted Recon in July 2006 as a companion for our other Shiba Inu. It took Recon a little while to get comfortable with us, but it was well worth the wait! We thought with a new addition to the family, he would have a hard time adjusting. However, he's been a great companion (and very tolerant and protective) of our daughter, Sophia (14 months old).
A picture of the two is attached.

Darlene

Its been 6 years since we adopted Darlene. We kept her original name to keep the confusion down she was already going thru.
She in all honesty adopted me. I was walking past the cages slowly. Went all the way to end were there was this really huge fat cat on top left, but hadn't met anyone that really caught my eye. I was really looking for kittens. As i walked back to beginning of isle with the intention of leaving, she stuck her paw thru the bars and grabbed me. Case closed, she was ours. She was put up for adoption because last owners said she had to much energy. We love her energy, and love playing with her.

We are coming in tomorrow with the hopes of getting Pebbles and Bam Bam, which is why i was browsing the site tonight.

Max H.

My boyfriend and I just adopted Max this past week and I wanted to let you all know how well he has adjusted already! He gets along great with our other boxer (Roxy) who is next to him in the picture and everyone who has met him loves him...he was very popular at the vet's office and at Petsmart!!  We really appreciate everything you all do and the chance you gave us to give this beautiful boy a new home!

Thanks so much!
