The SPCA has a number of major events each year as well as numerous smaller events.
Our major events include:
The Walk for the Animals
Each spring nearly two thousand friends of the SPCA and their pets join us in beautiful Quiet Waters Park for our largest fundraiser. They enjoy voluntary walks on measured courses in the park as well as the large outdoor vendor festival.
Puppy Plunge is an event that was introduced in 2012. This event, currently held at Camp Letts in Edgewater, MD, is becoming one of the most popular events that the SPCA offers. Enjoy music, vendors, food, and of course the plunge!
The SPCA of Anne Arundel County invites you to join us at the 5th Annual Puppy Plunge at Camp Letts in Edgewater on Sunday, August 21, from 12-3pm.
Last year over 1,400 pet lovers enjoyed this dog-friendly fundraiser that supports the SPCA as they care for more than 2,500 homeless animals each year. You won't want to miss the vendors, music, great food, and children's area. Your big dogs will love to plunge on Muscle Beach, and the small dogs can splash on the Petite Beach. The ground "Plunge" will be at 12:30pm.
Strut your dog in the bikini parade or enter your dog in the pie eating contest and watch them chow down! With just an $8 admittance fee for adults, dogs and children 10 and under are free. This event is fun for the entire family!
Can't wait to see you there!
